How can we help?

For help with a TestFlight build, send the app version, device model, iOS version, what you expected, and what happened. Do not send API keys or copyrighted PDFs.

Finding papers

Create a focused project goal and optionally add up to five seed papers. Relevant stays close, Adjacent crosses into nearby methods, and Explore ranges farther while retaining an explanation.

Getting full text

Open a paper's Access panel to see verified open, repository, publisher, DOI, and institutional routes. If you already have a lawful private copy, use Import a private PDF. Paperfarer does not bypass access controls.

Backups and recovery

In Settings, export a portable backup. Metadata-only is the smaller default; you can include saved documents. Import can merge with your library or explicitly replace it. A damaged checksum is rejected.

Zotero

Create a Zotero API key with personal-library read and write access, then connect it in Settings. Paperfarer creates or reuses one Paperfarer collection and exports metadata, notes, rationale, and provenance—not PDFs.

Removing your data

Settings → Erase Everything removes local projects, library data, files, caches, settings, and provider credentials.
